Lantern Festival

The traditional Lantern festival in China is held at the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations. It is held on the first full moon after the New Year and so is two weeks later. This is rather similar to the old tradition of Twelfth Night which is a party that marks the end of the Christmas Holiday. As well as lighting many lanterns, traditional lion dances are held.
